TODAY'S NEWS: ICYMI - I just had a Jury Summons for a civil case that is expected to last over a month. My big concerns were:
1) spending weeks in a courtroom breathing the same air with fifty randos (I was the only one masked);
2) sitting forty hours per week for those weeks in non-ergonomic chairs and hosing up my back; and
3) being too wracked by the experience to keep up on the comic.

To my relief, I was dismissed during the voir dire (Fr. for "really bad voir"). If I am ever called to serve the typical two-day jury duty in the future, I will do my best to not complain, as that seems far more manageable for someone of my physical condition.
